Day 1
Since Monday, May 18, the organizations Oger SARdogs, Vlaamse Reddingshonden, and Reddingshonden Team Zeeland have been collaborating in the search for 63-year-old Benoit Zimer from Arlon, who went missing in the French arrondissement of Indre.
Ogersardog is participating with 5 dogs, 4 handlers, and one team leader.
The man was traveling back with his family from his son’s wedding in the Pyrenees. During a family stop in Saint-Genou, he left for a walk but did not return.
At the request of the family, specialized rescue dog teams were deployed to support the search operation. The teams are using their expertise and dogs to help systematically search the area. This involves close cooperation with the local gendarmerie.
The organizations involved emphasize that they are doing everything in their power to find the missing man and that the cooperation between the various teams is particularly valuable in these difficult circumstances.
Out of respect for the family, it is requested that no unverified information or speculation be spread. Any relevant information can be passed on to the local authorities.
